if there is one thing that really irritates me, it'd be how REPULSIVE and ANNOYING singaporeans can get.
for starters, please develop some sort of basic personal hygiene for when you cough or sneeze in public/anywhere for that matter. you do NOT cough - with your mouth wide open - into the person whose head is right in front of you. that is plain rude and DISGUSTING.
secondly, the doors fixed on our public buses are AUTOMATIC. They do not involve any sort of manual labour to open them. so the next time you're waiting to board the bus, please try to refrain from prying them open cos it not only makes you look damn kiasu. it also makes u look silly.
thirdly, you know those yellow line things on the mrt station floors? yes. those BIG CONSPICUOUS ones. you're supposed to stand on the left or right of them. NOT in the center. i repeat. the LEFT or RIGHT. NOT the center. and for everyone's sake, PLEASE give way to those who are alighting. don't bulldoze ur way thru. you will still get to board the train. i promise you.
fourthly, please have the basic courtersy to give up your seat to those who really NEED it. i noe you pay ur taxes and you have every right to sit wherever you like, but would it kill to remove ur fat ass from the seat and offer it to that poor old man/pregnant woman? and NO. pretending to sleep doesnt qualify as a valid excuse.
finally, keep LEFT when u're on the escalator!!!! it's annoying when you see the signs telling to you to do so the ENTIRE way up/down, but still hog the right side and not let those who are in a real hurry to pass.
i could continue with my list of ugly singaporeans in action, but class starts in 1/2 an hour and i have readings to do, so i shall stop ranting.
