I NEED a breather...*

oh goodness gracious me... these past few days have been so hectic, it's not funny. it's like immediately after i touched down everything's been taking place so fast.. having to adjust to the SAD fact that i'm no longer in chiang mai; then falling sick with a mad couging fit and a super blocked nose; and then moving house and running all the stupid errands associated with moving; and then trying to get the stupid internet connection to work; and now.. UNPACKING. oh gosh.. this is seriously crazy.. i need a breather. :/

aniwae.. chiang mai was divine! the pple there were soooo friendly! u could sawatdee khaa them and they would smile and khaa/khrap u back! not like hostile singapore where u smile at some stranger and get some "what you want?!" stare in return.. ack. unfriendly... unfriendly.. and english camp was really fun!! though the first day was a total shocker.. harhar~ i still can't get over their HIGH STANDARD of english.. goodness! and we were preparing words like: taxi, bus, durian, longan for them.. hoho.. and the thai butterfly gang! harhar~ they were such a lively bunch of girls.. :)

and then there was the brick laying job.. just thinking of that one gives me the shivers! all the sick crap lying hidden in between the bricks - a lovely ant's nest filled with white eggs that had to look exactly like rice; roaches; crickets; funny looking bugs; a HUGE centipede - eeeewww.. i'm pretty amazed i didn't die of cardiac arrest in the backyard of narada home. har..

my homestay hosts were soo nice!! chunli and i stayed with this 15 year old teen called pupe (it's pronounced poo-peh).. she's a cheerleader in her school! and their version of cheerleading is TOTALLY different from ours.. they wear really intricate costumes.. i dun really noe how to explain it.. but i seriously doubt they can do any flipping and tossing with huge feather-like things sticking out from everywhere.. i think they do more dancing than anything else.. it's just very different from our concept of cheerleading lar. aniwae.. back to pupe and her family.. her mom's called meh laew.. and her father's por cha. she's got an elder bro but he doesn't stay with them.. he lives with his gf.. her parents were really hospitable.. esp her mom.. she kept piling our plates with rice and more rice, asking us to eat more.. i think i nearly died from overeating lar! but i think something happened at home cos pupe looked so sad on christmas day when she told me she wasn't gonna be coming for our christmas party.. sigh. i felt so horrible during the party cos everyone else was having fun with their homestay family.. but i didn't have anyone to talk to and joke with.. chunli hung ard with joe's family cos she stayed with them last year so at least it wasn't awkward.. i, on the other hand, felt so extra sitting at bai fern's corner.. oh well.. at least i had people ard me still.. unlike pupe.. she must have been feeling really miserable and lonely.. :(

aniwae.. whatever it is, i had lotsa fun at chiang mai doing community work (i.e. laying eeky bricks for narada home. HARHAR); planning and EXECUTING the christmas program for the pri and sec sch kids; carolling; shopping!! harhar..

okie dokie.. think i better go unpack some stuff first.. urgh..

hate moving house..
